Bacolod City, Negros Occidental — At 2:41 PM of November 6, 2020, CENECO announced on its Facebook page the cancellation and rescheduling of the power interruption which is originally scheduled to happen on November 7, 2020 in Bacolod City.

The Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. (CENECO) posted last November 4, Wednesday, a scheduled 12-hour Power Interruption, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, affecting areas in Bacolod - Reclamation 69kv Transmission Line.

According to CENECO’s post, the reason of the Power Interruption is the activity to be done by the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) which is to conduct preventive maintenance of 100MVA transformer#1 and its associated high voltage equipment including protection and secondary devices at Bacolod S/S.

However, at 2:41 PM, CENECO updated the status of the Power Interruption to "CANCELLED". The post briefed on a letter dated November 6, 2020, by the NGCP to CENECO stating the reason for the cancellation and rescheduling.

As stated on CENECO's Facebook, it was due to the ongoing troubleshooting of Power Circuit Breaker #501CB04BCL at Bacolod Substation, wherein the non-availability of the mentioned breaker, the Bacolod-San Enrique 69kv TL will be affected during the shutdown of Bacolod 100MVA Transmission #1 and Bacolod Reclamation 69kv TL.
