Filipino - American, Matthias Rhoads, dive-in to a new path of his life.

“Imagination is everything. If you cannot imagine a product, a place, a desired photograph or a dream living space, it won't exist; you have nothing to build to. You must envision what you want in life. Scientists, technies, directors, artists and entrepreneurs are all visionary innovators who utilize their imagination to aspire towards a goal. This is 5 to 10-year “where do I see myself” matters. See into your future” - Matthias 2017

This young charismatic man was born in North Carolina and now set on to face another journey of his life.

Matthias Rhoads continues to feed his starve for success because for him, his only limit is his self. #RoadToSuccess

He is an actor. One of his projects was “SuperMaam”, where he was able to work with the GMA Primetime Queen, Marian Rivera - Dantes.

Matthias is also a part of the show ‘Meant to be’ in GMA. He worked with many famous GMA artists such as Barbie Forteza, Ken Chan, Jack Roberto, Ivan Dorschner, Addy Raj, Manilyn Reynes, Sheryl Cruz, Tina Paner, Keempee de Leon, Sef Cadayona, Gloria Romero, Mika Dela Cruz, Max Collins, etc.

“Last night, we closed the chapter to a very successful @meanttobegma and what a privilege it has been to be part of this successful show. Couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to work with, good vibes from start to finish.”, Matthias said on his instagram account.

He is seen on different platforms endorsing famous products, one of those is Palmolive for men.

He is a host, a producer, and a director of his own food and travel show which is the PHoodDude series in Asian Food Network, an international food and travel platform, an online TV network.

Oddly, he is in-line with a food channel, who eats a lot but never gains a single fat.

Matthias became popular with his strong appeal--- a perfect body figure which most men wish to have.

He loves to go biking. When he was in college, he had a bike accident that left him a mark on his arm that makes him live a good scar from the past. “This serves as a tangible testimony of my basic growth from being a care-free teenager to a maturing adult”, he shared.

He was so lost in that moment of his life because of a broken heart and he felt nothing mattered. He pushed himself to be distracted in more ways not only through “Biking Forward”. He was depressed but it did not stop there, after the surgery he was still able to do a lot with all the metal rods and screws in his arm.

Starve your distractions

Feed your focus”

An influencer, vlogger, YouTuber, DJ, athlete, adventurer, Pursuer of Dreams and now ready to take the path towards the world  of business.

One wouldn't think that opportunity can come in the most inconvenient way, a time where people start to lose their hopes and dreams and just sit and depend on nothing but to wait until it becomes convenient.

This reality doesn't work for Manila Matthias, famously known as PHoodDude. “Basically I wanted to look for more opportunities in life other than what I have already experienced here in the Philippines.‘I always wanted to have an online shop; I studied branding in my Advertising class so graphic design and branding is easy and fun for me”, he said during his interview with Indelible News. According to him, he is a creative type, anything that involves design, fashion, music, sound, acting, production interests him.

In the middle of the thread he asked me, “Haha why do you want to write about me” P.S. I can feel the butterflies in my stomach, it is such a privilege that he’s my subject in my first article.

“I love your soul!” I replied.

There are only a few celebrities that actively interacts with his/her fans and Matthias is one of them. He is kind, fun, approachable and has a heart to those who believe in him.

“Adore the people who adore you. It's in the smallest notions that have the most meaning; these moments hold the power to make someone’s day.” he quoted in a post.

“Business is the scary part of me. Sales and business is foreign to me but I find that there is always way more growth in things you aren't familiar with. There are so many success stories in online sales and it allows me to flex my creative side”, he added.

Matthias saw the pandemic as an opportunity to sell and do exactly brand a beautiful company. For him, the fun part is the creation and the tough part is the marketing.

“Either you see it as a point of starvation and financial pause, or an opportunity and learning, I guess I am lucky to be able to be open minded to opportunity for growth and learning.”

He just started the business with his co-owner during the long month of quarantine. The process is hard since almost everything has been frozen due to the lockdown but he didn’t see it as a threat. Instead, a motivation to keep moving forward with head held high.

Just like everyone else he has his struggles and challenges that are preferred to be private due to the thought, "Let us inspire people through spreading positiveness and fuel their soul the success to look up into and someday will eventually be living in them."

“There will always be seatbacks” , he enthused.

Success does not define how huge your struggles are, you do not always need to tell everybody what you've been through instead, show them what you’ve become.

Currently, he is enjoying his online shop on Instagram, “NewNorm Lifestyle”. His goal is to help people define themselves and feel confident with whatever they wear and how to express themselves.

“Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t how hard you hit, and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done, now if you know what you’re worth, go out and get what you’re worth but you gotta be willing to take the hit and not pointing fingers saying, you ain’t where you are because of him or her or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain’t you. You’re better than that!” - Rocky Balboa
